Piedmont parks staff say ADA playground bid package will go out this month

Piedmont parks staff told the commission the city is finalizing the bid package for ADA upgrades to the playground and expects to advertise the project this month. Staff said contracting firm Coastland is working on design details and that the procurement and construction will be coordinated in phases (demolition, ADA upgrades, installation, matting).
"We are wrapping up the bid package for the ADA work there," Nancy said, noting staff expect to return to the commission with cost figures once bids are received and to coordinate installation sequencing. Commissioners asked for updates on timing and public notification; staff said they will report back when procurement timelines are clearer.
