Board fills EDA and LAC vacancies, continues committee appointments

Supervisors nominated and voted to appoint Robbie Fleet and George Lamb to the Economic Development Authority (EDA) to fill two openings. The board also appointed Marvin James to the Landfill Advisory Committee (LAC) to fill an unexpired term. Members discussed the nomination process for library trustees, whether trustee nominations should originate with the library board, and the availability of volunteers for difficult districts.
Motions to appoint the EDA nominees and the LAC nominee passed by voice vote. Board members asked staff to work through the remaining trustee vacancies and to publicize openings in the harder-to-fill districts.
