HHR building nears completion; retaining-wall work, gate repairs and parking plans advance

Selectwoman Sarah Neumann told the board the HHR Building Committee met July 15 and that "They are nearing the end of the project and work is expected to be complete by the start of school." The next HHR Building Committee meeting is scheduled for August 19, 2026.
Monica McNally reported progress on retaining-wall work and access changes: "the remaining work on the second 23A retaining wall should be complete in the next week or so. Once complete, vehicles will be able to drive to the traffic circle from dawn to dusk every day. Work will then begin on the third retaining wall. Gate work should be finished in the next couple of weeks." She also noted the Great Island Parking Design Committee reviewed the latest plans on July 16 and will meet again July 30.
The minutes provide timeline expectations but do not include contract values, vendors, or detailed project schedules; the board did not take any votes on capital expenditures at the meeting.
