The Bristow Hospital Authority on April 6 approved a Second Amendment to the Hospital Sub‑Lease between Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. and the Bristow Hospital Authority. The motion was made by Trustee Jeff Roberts and seconded by Trustee Heather Green; the roll-call vote recorded Church, Aye; Deshazo, Aye; Green, Aye; Groom, Aye; Johns, Aye; Roberts, Aye.
City Attorney Beth Anne Childs told trustees that the amendment is intended to address the ARPA funding situation tied to the hospital project and to allow Saint Francis to handle certain invoices. "This sub-lease will cover the ARPA funding," Childs said. Chairman Kris Wyatt said the Authority intends to apply funds only to needed repairs and work still to be done at the hospital rather than retroactive expenses.
The approved amendment was presented during the regular meeting after the authority completed routine business, and trustees moved the measure without recorded abstentions or opposition. The board directed staff to proceed with execution of the amendment and continue coordination with Saint Francis and the state as needed.
