Teacher urges board to restore paused new-teacher support program

"This program is most critical for our teachers at the beginning of the year," D'Agamal said, asking the board to direct district leadership to "immediately resume and restore the program." She noted neighboring districts offer mentorship and help cover induction costs that approach $8,000 for credentialing.—a support she called essential for teacher retention during a statewide shortage.
D'Agamal asked the board for transparency about what data or evaluation led to the pause and requested a clear plan for reinstating structured mentoring and onboarding as a district priority.
