Peekskill council authorizes RMS license for Fleischmann Pier cruise operations

Rudikoff told the council the proposal envisions multiple revenue streams: a $1 per-passenger payment on certain RMS cruises (the company estimated 20,000–30,000 brunch-cruise passengers), fees for corporate and separately booked events, transient boater fees (estimated $2.50–$3.50 per foot per night) and potential ferry services. He said RMS would hire locally for vessel crews and run harbor-marketing and booking through a harbor-management platform (Dockwa). Council discussion raised safety and staging questions; staff said DPW, fire and police would be coordinated and that a midseason review of operations would be included. The council later advanced a resolution authorizing a license agreement with RMS (resolution J10).
