Gage County board approves dozens of valuation reductions after property protests

Individual motions during the meeting adjusted values on both small residential parcels and large investment properties. For example, supervisors approved changing parcel #012336100 (Jim & Beth Lohse) to $6,000 and parcel #012272000 (Jim & Beth Lohse) to $4,000 after a motion by Supervisor Terry Jurgens seconded by Adams (motion carried 4-0). Acting Chairman Gary Lytle confirmed the list of affected parcels was read into the record as presented by the referees. The board adjourned at 4:31 p.m. and scheduled continuation for July 21, 2026.
