Union City approves easement at 104 East High Street for new catch basin and pipe to PennDOT drainage
Summary

Solicitor Wachter presented a completed easement agreement for 104 East High Street in which the borough will install and supply a catch basin and the property owner will provide and install a 60-foot pipe from the borough basin to a PennDOT-provided basin. The property owner will also dig and maintain a ditch from the PennDOT basin to Bentley Run; the borough will maintain the pipe and the two catch basins.
Councilor Osborn moved to approve the easement/agreement and Councilor Joyce seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes do not include construction timelines, pipe specifications or a maintenance schedule beyond the statement that the borough and property owner will undertake specified maintenance responsibilities.
