A senior at Norwalk High School told the Norwalk‑La Mirada Unified board she concealed herself while changing when a male coach walked into the girls' locker room and that school administrators have not explained how the district addressed the incident.
"I had my shirt over my eyes when I heard a man's voice walk inside the locker room," Bianca Reyes told the board during public comment, and said that while school staff told her and her mother "everything was taken care of," they would not disclose details. Reyes said she believed the coach s trained staff and that even a mistake of that nature should not happen at school. The student asked that the district consider stronger discipline than a warning and said she continues to see the coach practicing with girls.
Board members did not announce any immediate personnel action during the meeting. The incident as described by the student remains an allegation in the public record; school administrators told the meeting the district could not disclose personnel or investigatory details in open session.
