The township approved Resolution 2025-186 authorizing the discharge of a mortgage on 13 E. Griffith St., Penns Grove after the Small Cities Grant loan was paid in full. Mr. Pelura moved approval and the committee voted unanimously.
Township Clerk June Proffitt explained the Small Cities Grant program: loans are issued to low- and moderate-income residents for home repairs and are repaid when a recipient moves or dies. Proffitt added that Carneys Point administers these grants for Penns Grove and Oldmans as well.
