Berryessa board adopts Pride resolution and a set of year-end budget and bond-authority measures

The Berryessa Union School District board approved several formal items in one sequence, including a Pride-month recognition and multiple year-end budget actions.
President Haug introduced Resolution 25-27 recognizing June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month and said the district raised pride flags across sites. Trustee Nguyen moved to adopt Resolution 25-27; roll-call vote showed President Haug and Trustees Nguyen and Boak voting aye while Trustee Srinivasan abstained, and the resolution passed.
The board also accepted the certified disclosure of the California Teachers Association (CTA) Berryessa collective bargaining agreement as reviewed by the Santa Clara County Office of Education, and adopted Resolution 25-23 (authority for superintendent and assistant superintendent of business services to execute bond contracts over the summer). Trustees subsequently adopted year-end budget revenue and expenditure resolutions (25-24 and 25-25) and an Education Protection Account resolution (25-26) by roll call.
Board members thanked CTA representatives for collaboration during negotiations and noted that the actions finalize contract and budget housekeeping ahead of the summer recess.
