The district’s Measure U bond director updated trustees on summer projects and a district warehouse under construction.
The director showed photographs and said, "The concrete was poured, I believe, on June 9," and that the warehouse footing and pad are in place. He told the board that delivery of the building and related ordering delays have pushed the expected completion from an August timeframe toward December.
Trustees asked about solar and PG&E connections; the director said some sites are still waiting for PG&E interconnection. District staff confirmed that a youth-center security-camera replacement is complete and that the related MOU is now entirely the district’s facility, enabling renovation planning. Projects in design include kitchen assessments, fire alarm upgrades at Sierramont and Ruskin, exterior window replacements at Northwood, HVAC control commissioning, and playground reconfiguration work at several schools.
Several IT and construction change orders related to PA replacements and fire alarm work were also approved later in the meeting; the board recorded multiple contract credits and scope adjustments.
