Council to consider Street Closure for PeekSkill Pride Run on June 8

City Manager Alexander said the city has received an application to close downtown streets for the PeekSkill Pride run, scheduled "on Sunday, June 8 from 10 to noon." The route would begin at 47 South Water Street and end at Riverfront Park; staff asked the council for permission to return a resolution for adoption next week.
Council members asked staff to include safety checks and pothole repairs in the resolution. One council member urged staff to ensure the route is "free of potholes or any obstructions," and Alexander said the item would be returned for formal action after staff confirms road conditions and coordinates services. The resolution will be brought to the March 24 meeting for consideration.
