Kathy Britton reported that the Round Valley Indian Health Center and Round Valley Indian Tribes hosted a four-day Emergency Preparedness Training with the Falmouth Institute at the Covelo Recreation Center on Oct. 14–17, 2025. 'Twenty-one people attended the training,' she said, and organizers plan follow-up stakeholder meetings to build a comprehensive Emergency Preparedness Plan for the community.
Council members welcomed the training and requested updates on next steps and stakeholder coordination at future meetings. The presentation included a link to a slideshow of water testing results and noted ongoing community readiness efforts.
