Visitors and staff used the meeting to recognize extracurricular successes and community support. Max Torgerson acknowledged Paula Vroman for taking the speech team to state. Steeven Smith presented a multi‑point update on youth wrestling: about 36 participants this season, 13 qualifiers for the Jaycee State tournament, one qualifier for NYWA State, and $4,000 raised at the program’s first home tournament. "I’m proud of the character growth in these kids," Steeven Smith told the board.
Superintendent materials also noted a $20,000 grant from Lake Country Power to support revitalizing the district’s FACS program and highlighted ongoing curriculum initiatives including expanded Title services, the Science of Reading practices, Rocket Math, and summer school planning. Administration said early plans show interest in summer school with seven teacher applicants and expected student participation in grades 1–7.
