At the April 28 meeting the board conducted first readings of Policy 707 (Transportation of Public School Students) and Policy 710 (Extracurricular Transportation). The readings were informational; no final adoption occurred and the policies will return for a subsequent vote.
Separately, the transportation report noted that an additional student was added to Special Education transportation services after an updated IEP and that the district accommodated the change within existing routes. The director thanked bus drivers for their work. Policy materials cited applicable Minnesota statutes and model policies that guide district transportation practice.
