At the Feb. 18, 2025 business meeting the Fridley School Board received the first reading of two policies: Policy 524, "Internet, Technology, and Personal Electronic Communication Device Acceptable Use and Safety," and Policy 522, "Sex Nondiscrimination Policy, Grievance Procedure and Process." The minutes note the policies were presented for first reading and no board action was recorded.
The first reading places the policies on the board’s agenda for future consideration; the minutes do not include the text of proposed changes, staff recommendations, or a timeline for second reading and adoption. Community members and staff will have the opportunity to review the policies per the board’s normal process before any final vote.
The district’s minutes record the item as informational at this stage. Interested parties should consult the district’s posted policy drafts for full text and proposed changes when the board posts them.
