The Floodwood Public School District Board of Education on Nov. 18 reviewed survey responses from community members, students and staff about the possibility of moving to a four-day school week and asked staff to return with additional information. Administrative Assistant Ashley Engh was directed to prepare supplemental materials and coordinate with the business office on potential financial impacts for consideration at the board's December working session.
Board members did not take action to change the district calendar at the Nov. 18 meeting. Superintendent Sue Hoeft was present during the discussion and the board specifically requested more detailed cost estimates and implementation information before any formal proposal is brought forward. No timeline or vote date was set beyond the December working session.
