Trustees formalize 100-foot access easement along Warren #11 ditch

Trustees voted April 7 to define a 100-foot-wide access easement (50 feet on each side of the ditch centerline) along the Warren #11 open ditch. Bolton & Menk engineer Tyler Conley said the plans "show the proposed 100' right-of-way along the open ditch," and trustees agreed formalizing the description in the minutes would make it easier to find in land records.

The easement approval accompanies the trustees' action to accept and approve the final plans and specifications for the ditch repair. Chair Linda Murken and Trustee Latifah Faisal moved and seconded the separate easement motion to place the decision in the public record; the motion carried unanimously. Conley and staff said the easement reflects an existing corridor but that creating a formal description simplifies later record searches and project operations such as access for tree removal or equipment staging.

The defined easement does not itself alter assessed benefits or finalize any assessments; those financial decisions were discussed separately and will be considered later in the levy/reclassification process.
