Key procedural actions from the Walton County Technical Review Committee meeting on August 5, 2026:
- Minutes approved: Committee approved the TRC minutes from June 3, 2026 by voice vote. - Continuances: Camp DeFuniak, Commodores Retreat Pool improvement and Black Creek RV Park parking lot modification were continued (to Aug 19 or Sept 2 as announced). - Conditional approvals: Mid South Rentals (MIN2654 / MIN26000054), Sawmill Phase 2 (MIN26000020) and 30South (MIN26000050) received conditional approvals to move forward to DO issuance pending satisfactory resolution of outstanding comments. Fable 30A (MIN26000057) was continued to Sept. 2 to allow planning and environmental reviews to be completed.
Many of the approvals were conditional on addressing outstanding comments from engineering, planning and environmental staff; in several cases applicants committed to resubmit revised drawings and additional documentation (photometrics, parking studies, environmental attachments) before the county will issue development orders. The committee recorded voice votes on the motions and asked staff to post outstanding environmental assessments to the public project records.
