TRC conditionally approves Mid South Rentals expansion pending outstanding staff comments

The Walton County Technical Review Committee voted August 5 to conditionally approve a minor development order for Mid South Rentals, allowing the applicant to move toward development order issuance once outstanding staff comments are resolved. Staff identified the application in the record as project MIN26000054 and noted outstanding reviews from engineering, planning, environmental and the Eglin Air Force Base office.

“Request to approve by development order project number MIN26000054 is being reviewed by Bridget Clements,” staff said, reading the staff report into the record. Matt Parker of JP Engineering, representing LRW Properties LLC, told the committee the team has completed civil adjustments and landscape modifications and intends to resubmit with the remaining details. Parker asked to move forward “with the contingency that all items are addressed satisfactorily.”

Staff and the applicant discussed a fence detail, septic/sewer questions and whether proposed materials would meet the buffer and sound-dampening standards for the heavy-industrial future land use. The committee made a motion to approve pending resolution of all outstanding comments and carried the motion by voice vote. The motion record shows the TRC approved the project to proceed to DO issuance once the listed comments are addressed.

What happens next: the applicant will submit revised drawings and responses into EnerGov for staff verification; the development order issuance is contingent on successful resolution of the outstanding engineering, planning and environmental comments.
