Perry outlined designated drive‑over access points (Conch, Enterprise, Forest, Gulfstream and Juncos), the permit display requirement and safety rules — 15 mph speed limit and recommended tire pressure reduction to about 20 psi. He reported permit counts for last season in the meeting packet; staff said those figures are posted online and that permit sales typically include resident and non‑resident owners.
“Permits this past season, 2526,” Chief Perry stated in the update, and he noted the town expects similar availability of drive‑over access points this year while keeping high‑risk northern sections closed for safety. Staff will post maps and permit information on the town website ahead of the season.
