Superintendent reports enrollment dip, curriculum work and local food sourcing

Superintendent Steve Fisk summarized instructional and operational priorities at the Oct. 22 meeting, telling board members the district continues work on a new math curriculum, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Career and Technical Education (CTE) and literacy in grades K–5.
Fisk said district enrollment is 188 full-time-equivalent students, down from the projected 193 FTE. He also reported that the district recently hosted a Farm to School event and that all products served at lunch were sourced from local small farms in the region. Fisk told the board the district plans to purchase a new phone system that is expected to produce “significant savings” for the district.
