Superintendent says Drone and Precision Ag CTE program to launch in October; multiple grants sought

Superintendent Steve Fisk told the board the district will begin a Drone and Precision Agriculture career and technical education program in October and is seeking external funding to support programming. Fisk said he is applying for several grants including the Healthy Kids Grant, the Perkins Grant, the BEST Grant and a Farm to School Grant to support curriculum and student services.
Fisk also briefed the board on instructional matters: activation of math and ELA assessments and targeted math intervention for students receiving special education services. The report included mention of CTE course approvals and an upcoming end-of-year CTE review.
