The Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School District board approved a consent agenda Jan. 6 that included several administrative designations and authorizations.
Minutes show the board approved changing Central MN Federal Credit Union to Magnifi Financial as an investment location and named Long Prairie Leader/El Lider as the district's official newspapers. The board designated American Heritage National Bank as the official payroll depository and Minnesota National Bank as the official accounts payable depository, and approved a list of authorized investment locations including American Heritage National Bank of Long Prairie, MN National Bank of Long Prairie, Mid-Central Federal Savings Bank of Long Prairie, the Minnesota School Districts Liquid Asset Fund, Magnifi Financial, PMA Financial Network and Ehlers.
The board also authorized district office personnel to make electronic transfers and authorized the superintendent to use facsimile signatures of board officers on school checks after board authorization and to seek legal assistance or employ day and specialized labor as needed. Separately, the board adopted a "Resolution Directing the Administration to Make Recommendations for reductions in Programs and Positions and Reasons therefore." The resolution instructs administration to return recommendations for any proposed reductions and the rationales to the board for further consideration.
