Board reorganization: Gohman elected chair; Zahnow, Hollenkamp and Wolf fill officer posts

At its Jan. 6 reorganizational meeting the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School District board elected Member Gohman as chair (7-0), Member Zahnow as vice chair (5-2), Member Hollenkamp as clerk (5-2) and Member Wolf as treasurer by acclamation.
Vice Chairman Gohman called the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School District board to order and the members completed their annual reorganization at the Jan. 6 meeting, electing officers for 2025.
Member Wolf nominated Gohman for Board Chair, and Member Zahnow seconded the nomination; "Member Gohman was elected Board Chair with a 7-0 vote," the minutes record. Later votes selected Member Zahnow as vice chair on a 5-2 tally and Member Hollenkamp as clerk on a 5-2 tally. Member Wolf was elected treasurer by acclamation when no other nominations were made.
The officer elections were recorded as formal motions and votes and are part of the meeting minutes filed Jan. 6. The newly elected chair and officers will serve through the 2025 calendar year according to the board's standard practice.
