Superintendent Kurt Stumpf presented a Strategic Plan update and an itemized Cost Containment Plan update to the board on Oct. 21, 2024. He told the board that staff are actively monitoring substitute-coverage expenses and the district's technology budget as part of the cost-containment efforts intended to reduce operating pressure without cutting core services.
Stumpf reported that the district has held roughly 18 Facility Engagement Sessions with approximately 180 attendees and has received about 70 survey responses; he said additional community meetings are scheduled and that a full recommendation on facilities will be presented to the board in November. No formal action was taken during this presentation; the board noted the update for future planning and budgeting.
