The board approved several fiscal-protection items during the June 25 meeting. The district's property/casualty insurance renewal with Prairie State Insurance Cooperative will be $185,052.39, a 3% increase from the prior year, and the workers' compensation renewal will be $115,324.98, a 21% increase attributed in part to this being the first full year with custodial staff on payroll. The board approved both renewals by roll call vote.
Separately, the board approved renewal of the Treasurer’s Bond for $3,000,000 through Liberty Mutual Surety for coverage from July 1, 2026, to July 1, 2027, at a premium cost of $2,500. These actions were recorded as motions with unanimous support from the voting members present.
