Board approves multiple personnel hires, stipends and District Business Manager appointment

The board approved a slate of personnel actions on June 25, including accepted resignations and multiple new hires for the 2026–27 school year. Actions approved by roll call or voice vote included the resignation of Alana Joines (Instructional Aide at Parrish School) and Taylor Bundren (1st Grade Teacher at Parrish School), the employment of paraprofessionals and certified staff (Jerry Jung, Janiyah Weston, Jeremesha Nelson, Hailey Eckard; Adrienne Hardwig, Joshua Lindstrom, Mallory Asaturian), summer office help hires, and the employment of Laith Khader as part-time Technology Paraprofessional.
The board also approved special assignments and coaching positions for the school year and approved the employment of Dawn Seward as Dean of Students at Carbondale Middle School effective July 1, 2026. Field moved and Greer seconded the appointment of Sarah Lipe as District Business Manager effective July 1, 2026; the board subsequently appointed Lipe as District Treasurer for FY27. The board approved a 5.0% increase for non-certified staff positions (Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent; Director of Food Services; Technology Coordinator) retroactive to July 1, 2026, and approved an annual stipend for the Technology Coordinator to manage district-wide media and communications and a stipend for the superintendent to perform financial duties.
