Assistant Superintendent Michael Hall presented two memoranda of understanding with the Sulphur Springs District Teachers Association on April 15, 2026. One agreement provides a retention bonus for Mild/Moderate special-education teachers; the other provides a signing bonus for Moderate/Severe (ESN) Special Day Class teachers to aid recruitment for hard-to-fill positions. Both MOUs were approved by voice vote, 4-0, with Trustee Paola Jellings moving to approve the first and Trustee Lori MacDonald moving to approve the second; each motion was seconded and carried unanimously among voting trustees (Shelley Weinstein recorded as absent).
