The Sulphur Springs Union School District Governing Board met in a special session on Dec. 15, 2025, at a trustee's residence in Canyon Country and approved the meeting agenda by a 4-0 voice vote. Trustee Shelley Weinstein moved to approve the agenda; Trustee Lori MacDonald seconded. The board voted Aye: DeFigueiredo, Weinstein, Chase and MacDonald; Trustee Paola Jellings was absent.
Board President Denis DeFigueiredo opened the meeting at 5:33 PM, dispensed with the Pledge of Allegiance and called the roll. Superintendent Dr. Catherine Kawaguchi and assistant superintendents Michael Hall, Julie McBride and Dr. Joshua Randall were noted as staff present; District Executive Secretary Nancy Raygoza was absent. No advance requests to address the board or comments or questions regarding agenda items were offered before the vote. The meeting record lists the next regular meeting date as January 21, 2026.
