Chairperson Barsness convened the Minnewaska Area Schools Board of Education special work session on Jan. 27, 2025, where Daren Sievers of School Perceptions presented a plan to solicit community-wide input. Sievers said surveys would be mailed to every household with an option to respond online or return by mail, intended to measure overall satisfaction and identify priorities for improvement.
Board members emphasized using the survey results to shape any facility or financing proposals. The survey will also assess residents' tax tolerance so the district can align potential project scope and financing with community preferences. No final decisions on project scope or ballot language were made; the board agreed to review survey results before proceeding further.
