Superintendent Dr. Sayles-Adams described a districtwide physical-space study intended to align facilities with programming needs. "This includes factors like utilization, accessibility, essential spaces and enrollment capacity," the presentation said, and listed deliverables such as annotated floor plans by principals, a use-and-utilization report, on-site walkthroughs and dashboards.
The timeline in the presentation schedules building walkthroughs beginning Oct. 29, 2024, with stakeholder participation from school and district leadership, master schedulers and relevant departments. The study will produce a dashboard and reports intended to inform how program needs translate into physical-space requirements and feed into school-level and district-level planning decisions.
