ORC EMS reports 3,926 runs in first half of 2026 and joins CARES database

Esha Roth, representing ORC EMS, presented the semiannual SMA report for January through June 2026. Roth highlighted that ORC EMS performed 3,926 runs in the first six months of 2026 and that county-run volumes remain comparable to 2025 while out-of-county transfers declined. Roth also noted ORC EMS began participating in the CARES cardiac arrest registry to track outcomes and bystander CPR metrics.
Roth described training and community engagement efforts including high-school safety events and paramedic/EMT education, and said the CARES data will be part of an annual report on outcomes. "For the first 6 months of 2026, we did 3,926 runs," Roth reported, and added that reduced transfers outside the county reflect hospitalsefforts to handle non-911 transport needs internally.
