The Hill City School Board’s April 28 meeting (included in the packet) recorded several personnel actions and recognitions. The board accepted resignations from paraprofessional Ashley Nutter and cafeteria staff member Sue Kallinen and recognized the resignation of Stacey Johnson as Head Girls Basketball coach.
At that meeting the board approved several personnel appointments and adjustments: hiring Mark Gravelle as junior high baseball coach per the co-op agreement, increasing teacher Heidi Haddix to a 1.0 FTE for 2025–26, and adopting a resolution to nonrenew a probationary teacher. Each motion recorded in the April 28 minutes passed on unanimous voice/roll-call votes.
The April minutes also included routine business: approval of March bills totaling $407,770.40; two donations (Hill City Lions Club and Hill City Thrift Store); discussion of building security and locking doors earlier; and scheduling items including graduation and meet-and-confer dates.
