Board accepts several donations and approves HEA 1003 waiver, handbook and budget transfers

During the Jan. 15 meeting the board accepted donations including $2,500 to Westville Elementary from Denine Torr and Dollar General Corporation, $2,000 to the Westville Athletic Department from Not Your Grandma's Style Quilting, and $1,000 to Westville Middle/High School from Organizational Development Solutions. A donation to Jim Craft from the Cheryl Lyn Welter Family Charitable Foundation was also recorded.
The board approved a resolution authorizing submission of the HEA 1003 Flexibility Waiver for the 2025–2026 school year, a wage adjustment for a food service worker, a proposed job title change to Custodial Lead/Assistant Maintenance Technician, a new holiday-time addition to the Classified Handbook, and a resolution to transfer amounts from the Education Fund to the Operations Fund. The DECA State Career Development Conference field trip request and the district financial statements were approved as presented.
