Board to ballot bid awards for two middle school media center renovations on consent agenda

John Morrissette presented plans and renderings for media center renovations at Maple Grove Middle School and Osseo Middle School and said both projects will begin when school lets out this summer and be ready for students in the fall.
Morrissette described features including new circulation and technology help desks, soft‑seating "living room" areas, classroom and book stack layouts and maker spaces. He said Maple Grove's media center will be expanded by tying atriums into the space; Osseo's media center is smaller due to the age of the building but will include small‑group spaces and a maker space. Morrissette said he expected the bid awards to appear on the consent agenda and recommended approval of the awards.
The consent agenda, which included bid awards and other items, passed 6–0.
