John Morrissette, executive director of finance and operations, presented the fiscal year 2027 recommended operating adjustments and capital expenditure budget under the district’s long‑range financial planning (LRFP) framework.
Morrissette described the LRFP process and recommended approval of both the operating adjustments and the capital expenditure budget. He said operating capital requests total $9,876,600 and identified capital projects prioritized by division; the proposed capital projects levy and related items produced a combined capital expenditure request of $24,238,122. Morrissette said the board will see a final adopted FY27 budget in June after additional work‑session review and continued monitoring of the legislative session.
Board members voiced appreciation for transparency in the process; the capital expenditure budget passed on a 6–0 vote.
