Board elects officers and administers oaths at ISD 622 special meeting
Summary
At the Jan. 14 special meeting, the Independent School District 622 board completed officer elections by unanimous ballot and administered oaths of office; the board then moved to adopt a package of organizational resolutions by a 6–0 vote.
Chair Yong called the Independent School District 622 special meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. and Vice Chair C. Anderson administered the oath of office to members Livingston, Nitordy, Swor and Yong.
Yong requested nominations for board officers. Director Livingston nominated Yong for board chair and the board cast a unanimous ballot. Livingston then nominated C. Anderson for vice chair (unanimous ballot), Mortens nominated Livingston for clerk (unanimous ballot) and C. Anderson nominated Mortens for treasurer (unanimous ballot). The reorganizational slate was resolved by unanimous ballots as recorded in the minutes.
The reorganization occurred immediately before the board moved, on a motion by Livingston seconded by Mortens, to adopt a set of organizational resolutions covering board appointments, meeting schedules and fiscal authorities. That motion carried on a 6–0 vote.
The board listed Director Yener as absent. The meeting adjourned at 5:28 p.m.
