The Carbondale Elementary School District No. 95 Board approved a three-year lease agreement with JMO Modular, LLC for a new modular unit at Thomas School effective the 2026–2027 school year. The lease is $35,000 per year and the minutes record a $28,000 delivery and setup fee.
Chief School Business Official Janiece Blake told the board the modular includes requested sink space for the art room and that fabrication typically takes about six weeks, which would put the modular in place in time for the start of school in August if fabrication begins promptly. The motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
The board also discussed building and transportation committee timing for outstanding projects; staff indicated continued planning for summer work and upcoming projects.
