On Feb. 25 the Sulphur Springs Union School District Board approved several 2025–26 salary schedules that apply a 1.3% ongoing pay increase and a 1.08% one-time off-schedule payment to confidential employees, unrepresented certificated staff, supervisory staff, substitutes, and management. Each schedule passed by a unanimous voice vote.
The Board also approved Amendment No. 1 to the employment contract for Assistant Superintendent Personnel/Pupil Services Michael Hall, placing him at Range M095 Step C with an annual salary of $185,994 and a one-time payment of $1,982.96; Amendment No. 4 for Assistant Superintendent Educational Services Julie McBride at Range M495 Step C with an annual salary of $200,874 and a one-time payment of $2,141.60; and Amendment No. 6 for Deputy Superintendent Joshua Randall at Range M496 Step E with an annual salary of $232,535 and a one-time payment of $2,479.15.
"The motion was made by Mr. Chase, seconded by Mrs. Jellings, and passed 5-0 by voice vote to approve the 2025-26 Supervisory Salary Schedule as presented," the minutes record; similar motions were recorded for other schedules and contract amendments.
