The Sulphur Springs Union School District board approved a Category 1 E‑Rate bid and accepted an agreement with Spectrum Enterprise on Feb. 11, 2026, following staff review of three proposals. Deputy Superintendent Joshua Randall told the board that "Approval will increase District Office bandwidth from 5 GB to 10 GB and site bandwidth from 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps under a 60-month agreement." The motion to accept the bid passed by voice vote.
District staff said Spectrum Enterprise received the highest score under the scoring matrix used for the RFP. The approval covers telecommunications capacity upgrades at the district office and site locations under the district's 60‑month E‑Rate contract term.
