Pinetree Community School Principal Nicole Packer presented highlights of student achievement, staff work and site goals to the Sulphur Springs Union School District Board of Trustees on Feb. 11, 2026. The board recognized certificated employee Lauren Youngs, classified employees Andrea Sosa and Agnes Patton, and parent volunteer Shelley Adkison.
Trustee Ken Chase noted a "significant improvement in chronic absenteeism," and pointed to students enjoying the school's new garden boxes, which he said were created in part through an Eagle Scout project. Trustee Paola Jellings thanked staff for sharing future site goals during the presentation. The recognitions were given during the hearing/session portion of the regular meeting that opened at 7:02 p.m.
