Residents report alley flooding at 105 1st Avenue; board asks for photos

Andrea Pancrazio and Nate Still, residents of 105 1st Avenue, raised a complaint during the hearing of citizens that runoff is pooling in the alley behind their home and entering their driveway and garage. Their concern, they said, stems from their property’s low elevation relative to the street and nearby ditch, causing water that “does not reach the ditch along 1st Avenue [to] end up in their driveway and garage.”
The Board asked the residents to provide photographic evidence to Director Nick Gottwalt so the Public Properties & Works Committee can review the situation with the Village Engineer. Director Gottwalt said he would follow up to schedule IMEG’s planned drone inspection of the creek and investigate possible drainage options.
