Pumpkin Walk draws crowds; council orders new washer and dryer for community center

Council Member Okura reported that the Pumpkin Walk on Oct. 10 was well attended and reminded council members about the Southgate Volunteer Fire Department Adult’s Night Out and bourbon raffle on Oct. 17. Those community events were recorded as successful and upcoming local activities.
Under new business, Mayor Hamberg said the community center’s washer was broken and noted the washer and dryer were over 25 years old. He reported that new machines were ordered to replace the aging units.
