Director Dr. Chuck Pirtle presented the required 2024–2025 School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs), explaining the documents combine local data, DataQuest and California School Dashboard indicators including demographics, instructional materials and achievement metrics. The Board approved the SARCs for all nine schools by voice vote 4-0.
Assistant Superintendent Julie McBride provided an update on the kindergarten through 6th grade math instructional materials adoption process for 2026–27, describing the timeline, evaluation criteria, the materials under review, and next steps. Trustees thanked teachers who are piloting candidate materials.
The actions were recorded on the Jan. 21 consent and action calendars; no changes to the SARCs or adoption timeline were recorded at the meeting.
