Staff recommend Eureka Math for K–6; formal adoption to return May 13

Assistant Superintendent Julie McBride told trustees the Math Adoption Advisory Committee — made up of teachers across grade levels — conducted presentations, pilots and evaluations using a district rubric. Based on teacher, student and parent feedback, the committee recommended Eureka Math for K–6, citing a coherent progression of concepts, strong instructional design and built‑in supports for intervention and differentiation.
McBride noted areas for continued focus, including academic vocabulary development and supports for multilingual learners. Staff will bring a formal recommendation for adoption to the Board at its May 13, 2026 meeting.
