HACAP reports $2,169.30 in fourth-quarter assistance to Washington County residents

RenElla Crawford, director of the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program, presented the Board of Supervisors with HACAP’s general assistance quarterly report, saying two Washington County residents received help in the fourth quarter: one funeral assistance payment and one medical assistance payment totaling $2,169.30.
Crawford told the board that for the 2025–2026 fiscal year HACAP provided a total of $8,246.30 to county residents. "HACAP assistance is usually provided first, followed by General Assistance," Crawford said. Supervisor Marcus Fedler made a motion to acknowledge the report; Bob Yoder seconded the motion and the board recorded the acknowledgement.
