Rockford school board certifies Nov. 5 vote; three members elected to four-year terms

The Rockford Board of Education formally canvassed returns from the Nov. 5, 2024 general election and declared three candidates elected to four-year school board terms beginning the first Monday in January 2025. The board recorded vote totals of Jessica Johnson 3,215; Christopher Morgan 2,587; Kevin Sjodin 2,514; and 93 write-in votes, and adopted the canvassing resolution on a 5–0 roll call vote.
Board members took formal action to record the results and direct administrative follow-up. The canvass resolution instructs the clerk to certify the results to county auditors in each county where the district lies; the board also authorized subsequent issuance of certificates of election after the statutory contest period and required campaign-finance filings are complete.
