Cooper High School staff and student leaders presented a showcase of student voice to the Robbinsdale Area Schools board during the April 22, 2025 business meeting. Principal Shaunece Smith and Assistant Principal Ned Nelson outlined how classroom programs and extracurricular opportunities give students formal ways to speak on school priorities; staff members Dr. Josh Mahan and Amanda Lieser joined student council representatives Emily Blanchette and Chad Hill in the presentation.
The group described specific structures used at CHS to promote student leadership and future readiness, saying they aim to "build student skills for using their voice in the future." The presentation was part of the board's "Rdale Proud" showcase series and was delivered before Superintendent Dr. Teri Staloch provided broader district updates.
